Middle East Council of the Carolinas| The MECC is a community based network of individuals and organizations that highlight the contributions of the Middle Eastern community in the Carolinas, and create bridges of communication to promote trust and understanding between the local Middle Eastern community and the community at large.

Throughout the year, the MECC organizes frequent educational and cultural events in the Charlotte area including guest lecturers, music or dance performances and our annual Middle East Festival. We also offer member events for relationship building and networking.

It is that time of year again when we gather to celebrate the Middle East Festival of the Carolinas at Queens University on Sunday April 29nd from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm. This year we will have multiple food, desserts and crafts vendors, live Middle Eastern and international music with folk dances from around the Middle East. Come and join us for good food and sweets, and music that calls everyone to come dance.
