The MECC is a community based network of individuals and organizations that highlight the contributions of the
Middle Eastern Community in the Carolinas, and create bridges of communication to promote trust and
understanding between the local Middle Eastern community and the community at large.
Membership is composed of both individuals and organizations that identify with the Middle Eastern community as
well as other service providers. Membership is also open to both individuals and organizations that are
interested in learning more about the Middle Eastern community.

It is that time of year again when we gather to celebrate the Middle East Festival of the Carolinas at
Queens University on Sunday April 22nd from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm. This year we will have multiple food,
desserts and crafts vendors, live Middle Eastern and international music with folk dances from around the Middle East.
Come and join us for good food and sweets, and music that calls everyone to come dance.
