Middle East Council of the Carolinas| The MECC is a community based network of individuals and organizations that highlight the contributions of the Middle Eastern community in the Carolinas, and create bridges of communication to promote trust and understanding between the local Middle Eastern community and the community at large.

Membership is composed of both individuals and organizations that identify with the Middle Eastern community as well as other service providers. Membership is also open to both individuals and organizations that are interested in learning more about the Middle Eastern community, including but not limited to:

Public and private service providers
Local, state and nationally elected officials and government agencies
Cultural exchange organizations
Members of the religious community
Private individuals
